You say i can't write
you wont let me talk
you shut down my light
then tell me to walk

i dont know whats wrong
or why nothing is right
i try to be strong
and not let hope out of sight

i live in pretense
in some crazy haze
where nothing makes sense
like being stuck in a maze

or when im gonna leave

and why i was so naive

to think you really cared
to believe you would remember
all the good times we shared
when we were laughing together

But that's growing up,
learning when to shut up
trying to keep looking up
and never, ever giving up...

Never giving up is the key to life. It's the only force of motion in this world we have at times. Life can be like an out of control vaccum, you never know if it's going to chase down after ya and try to suck you back, or it will reverse it's flow and push you away. =)
