Lies

Lies

A Poem by BlackHeart

I try to smile,
I try not to ask questions.
I try to be there.
Just not sure how.
You keep lying.
Why?
I have asked you for nothing.
But the truth.
I love you my boo.
And that will never change.
But I need the truth.
Or else I'm gone.
Out the door.
Out of your sight.
Out of your mind.
Out of your life.
For good this time.

Thoughts. Poetry of thoughts. In their very naked form. You can almost feel the texture of those anxiety-ridden thoughts. Those constituting the "good, accepting girlfriend", "the supportive beau", "the all-understanding, wise and compassionate companion". But for how long?

I think every woman, girl, lady would identify with these thoughts,
We have all had them.
Some we've managed to overcome, some have managed to stay and become a part of who we are.

Keep writing,

Best,
M.
