Sometimes the World is Ending

This is just kind of a random blurb I wanted to write down after reading something I wrote in the past.

Sometimes...

Sometimes it feels like the world is ending.

Like when you get a tid bit of bad news...

Your grandfather or grandmother has passed away...died.

"Mom has cancer."

"I'm moving."

"I'm breaking up with you."

"She's cheating."

Whatever the case might be.

Sometimes it feels like the world is ending. The world isn't actually ending, no. Your life isn't actually ending, usually, no. Buildings over ten stories tall aren't burning away, the smoke tendrils rising to meet the clouds. No bombs are going off in the distance - or at all. No gun or weapon is in sight. There's no violence.

But sometimes, it feels like the world is ending. When you hear those few chilling words that change your perspective on life in and of itself. That, somehow, the world is different now...drastically different.

And you'll never be the same.
