Cyanide

Cyanide

A Poem by Ronnie Smith
"

Situations I've endured many a time, fortunately.

"

I thought you trusted me

So why do you hide

You think I can't see

Through your lies and cyanide

I thought you believed in me

Your words so reassuring

You've led me to think

It didn't mean a thing;

I thought you loved me

Where did it all go

The blank look on your face

You have nothing to show.
