Magnetism

Magnetism

A Poem by Ronnie Smith
"

The title is a reference from a conversation I had with Damian. About love and attraction, Agapos and Aeros. Poetry.

"

You're the flickering light of my candle, keeping me alive;

You're th filling of my red velvet cake, keepin me fulfilled;

Your laugh is the ring of windchimes,

Keys on my grand piano,

Each time hear, the sun beams.

Your eyes as sharp as your blade

Yet as adoring as my morning glories.

Looking into them is as the moon reflecting on the surface of my lake.

All the stars jealously crowding the dear moon.

The sun, it sets so still

You're the gold in every room

Painting my walls.

The moon, it smiles so sad

Illuminate the world.

You're the great ebony tree, grace of a willow tree;

Sweet blossums on a red branch, kissed by the cool wind.

Every other form bows to you.

You're the flickering light of my candle,

And I'm blown out.
