Autumn shadesA Poem by Skie blue.Autumn shades, not in color, but in memory.
Autumn Shades,
Falling leaves, gently caressing the breeze. Truly silent except for the occasional sneeze. Treading through lightly on silent toes. Why the silence, no one truly knows. Yet the leaves drift lazily on the shore of air. Others walking lonely without a single care. Reds and browns, oranges and yellows. Quietly mixing into anything but mellow. Forgotten from the human eye like a long lost dream. Coming every year with a silent scream. Old oak trees and the birches only aging. Their own colors doing all but fading. Cobble stone walks, littered with colors. The gentle chuckle of the warm and loving mothers. Children running forward, to catch the dance. Ending all of it's quiet trance. Small cool breezes drifting by pink cheeks. Of a lovers caress is what one seeks. Listlessly dreaming across the shores. Of what knowledge you know that none do adore. Homes warm, the happy breakings of bread. Even respects to the tombs of the dead. Color is drifting away every year. But the different shades of autumn we will always hold dear.
