Melting

Melting

A Poem by Skia1717
"

Written on the hardest first day of school in my life.

"
I thought I was fine,
Thought I had control,
Of the feelings I hide, I have to...
I'd caused too much pain,
Just trying my best,
To expect you to feel what I do...

We never had that,
We never did share,
What I feel without doubt or mistrust...
I thought I was fine,
I'd dimmed the hot flames,
I'd buried the longing in dust...

But summer did end,
Came back to our haunts,
I saw you, and again, my love bled...
Your eyes and your voice,
Soft short light brown hair,
I fell all over again.
I melted.

Yeah...
I like this a lot. Me and my ex go to the same University, so seeing him is hard. I feel your pain.

Thanks. The saddest part is I didn't even get a chance to date him.
