You Still Smile

You Still Smile

A Poem by Sketchy

I love water drops, and overly fallen rain.

The way light shines so perfectly off of new puddles, and sinks into the milky opaqueness of the old.

My eyes part like small clouds drifting apart, and rain like the old giving in and falling to the ground.
Every smile that passes by is worth a lifetime, so to say, but I much rather live, strive than stare at your blank and fading face.

Crimson pours from your lips like a new stream, like a small river flowing forth. My tears seem to empower the process, like rain to a river yet I can’t stop. I shall never stop, not like this. I can’t, it won’t happen. The blood is such a bright, beautiful color and who knew that you were beautiful from the inside out, yet I can’t enjoy the light red streaks.

Bright red streaks like rivers, I try to brush it away and now it’s paint. Red paint brushing across the pale canvas of skin, a color ever fading into a grey-ish white. Right now, I can’t bare to stare at your face,

I can’t bare to let these precious moments pass by, for me only to stare.

No, I rather live than stare at that beautiful, lifeless, smile.
