The One Among Sixes

The One Among Sixes

A Poem by Skelterton
"

Left on a slumber night, right?

"
Last midnight, when the moon came on the television, you froze didn't you?
Shaking in fear of the corrupted dolls behind the ships that sail the black C
You saw that didn't you?
When the jungle teeth reverse, following the trail to the yellow backyard
Unearthly discrepancies shall not revive the immortal sword that pierces through the soft jewel of the church
Return the favor that washes down my melting heart ever so slowly
Catching up to your unguarded frontal lobe, stretching through the coconut medicine you once swore to protect
The royal number of sixes mustn't pass the blue line, for when the moonlight crosses their path a third time...
The one remaining will not awake
