Tainted Light

Tainted Light

A Poem by Skelasoldier

Darkness and Light

A everlasting fight

Between what is good and right

or what makes you die from fright

Compremise of self-thought

Is not a war that must be fought

For we all are tainted in our minds

Darkness judges moral rights

Can one say without a lie

That we govern are own lives

With dignity and self-respect

No conflict in our emptyness

Human nature is revealed

We crave the blood of those we kill

Expect the toil of our will

To be paid with gold and gil

Though one thing is not revealed

Our intentions for our minds concealed

Nice write with depth of meaning and overflowing with insightful questions. There is almost a darkness about it's tone yet upon a second read that darkness comes from the human heart.
