That Feeling

That Feeling

A Poem by Skal

That feeling of a giant when you're looking down. That feeling of a midget when you're looking up. Every suppression of emotions that makes you bow. Every un-taken decision that messed you up.

The missing currency in my pocket when I'm in town. The failing sense of my composure when I see a skirt. Will they judge me if I'm not brown and very proud? Or will they rue me and rather see me in a hearse?

This weight on me is too much for this ground. As much as I aim for the stars I still prefer the Earth. Never in one spot but still just around. Remember my word as silence does its part.
