Hell Holds My Name

Hell Holds My Name

A Poem by Jon Cooper
"

Something I just wrote up...not very good...

"

Hell holds my name
Ready for me to falter
My youthful mouth a viper
Angsty fists young bulls
I should stand strong
Unwavering with patients
But my vision is consistently red
And clouded is my mind
Many rise to temp my evenness
Drawing actions that denounce the presence of God

I love your use of the word "viper".
It focused my attention. I also really liked the line "but my vision is consistently red."
You need to stop being such a debbie downer. ]]=
Have a little faith, you've got the stuff kid.

Hush. I really like this.
A lot. :}

I love the imagery.
And I really like this line
"Many rise to temp my evenness
Drawing actions that denounce the presence of God"
