A Poem by Sarah Morgan
"

.. I guess alot of my poems are depressing.

"

You told me everything would be okay
Another promise you threw away
I can't keep living my life this way
Where I'm the one with the price to pay

I guess I'm the only one who gave my all, but I guess you were the one to watch me fall
You never once gave me any help
You never gave a thought to how I felt

I crashed and burned
I lived ; I learned
I breathed ; I suffocated
I'm older now ; I'm educated
No don't you speak
You've said enough
I cannot forgive what's done is done
It's your loss ; Tough luck

I like this! I love the structure! The red words seemed to make the poem more powerful! I loved the idea that the person learned a lesson from their bad relationship! Good writing!
