Recreate the PerfectionA Poem by EnigmaLife It lies there, trapped Within the fading lines Of all the perfect memories
In a face that held my gaze A second too soon And a moment too long
In those whispered words A connection across continents Or a silence that need not break For his presence was but a series of faint breaths
In the reluctant understanding Of growing up And hesitant steps out into the world Looking back to a pair of eyes Watering pride and care
Why should I walk with my head turned? My vision blocked with a past perfection Of a life, now unreal
Let me step out and tread the unused trails To discover the perfection not yet made © 2012 EnigmaAuthor's Note
