Strangely FamiliarA Poem by EnigmaExperimental and prompt driven.I don’t know you
But you have always been so familiar
A new person everyday
Layers and layers of unknown reality
I discover you every day
With a smile
As my hand rests on that warm patch
Right by the side of my lonely pillow
With a smirk
As a long forgotten note slips out of a picture frame
You gave me on an ordinary every day
With a deep sigh
Inhaling your presence, if that was possible
To know you, completely
It can never be
Your depth surpasses my ability
To comprehend your next move
Spiraling down this endless staircase
Exploring all those hidden crevices
Which you hide from my prying eyes
Are you planning yet another surprise?
Unpredictable, are your thoughts
I can never know who you really are
But I can assume
Because every day, the new person
Loves me the same
