Habitual plunge into the lonely depths

A delicate poison in every breath

Too familiar a satire to be ignored

Crepitate and crumble, body and soul

Conspiring cosmos, though delayed

Sweet nectar, but such a waste

Ashes of all the delicate dreams

Martyrs of the will supreme

Astral projection, one last escape

No smiles, no tears, real or fake.

Individual interpretations, please. I'd like to know how 'efficient' I am in conveying my thoughts. Especially here when the rhymes made it all the more difficult to write. Hope you liked it. :)

there is a rhythmic flow here that is truly beautifully erie, I beleive that you captured something that resides in all of us.

Astral projection, one last escape
No smiles, no tears, real or fake.

This is my fav line!

I truly believe that you painted a emotionally correct painting of you thought!

You have managed to challenge your reader on every line. There is new meaning at every turn with skilful use of metaphors, eventually they come together and culminate to a crescendo of despair...the caged bird is a great analagy for the feelings portrayed here.
Your rhyme is very good also...
Enjoyed!

Cheers~

This can be viewed as a personal or more universal statement. I'm sure everyone has felt caged in some way, during their life, and have been frustrated by that. The human body itself is a "fetter to the soul" as Longfellow said. An interesting and inventive write, with some good use of language.

I love the thoughts poured into this piece. While it is a bit dreary I love the song flow to this piece and they way you worded it is wonderful. We have all walked in those moments in our lives.

In a way I think I feel caged. There is little to do though about it since the walls around me only get higher and higher. I loved the way this was written by the way.
