A stone does not need a friendA Poem by EnigmaExperimental.
Fight a losing battle Come, Live the moment With me Have all your diplomacies Over shadowed Let irrational passion Drive you to your wits end Foreshadowing your ideals Be primitive Be free Be you, yourself But beware For the ties of disguise Bind you to love Reality fends off alone Have you known? Liberate your mind Crush your heart All at the same time I hold on to the facade With patient smiles And naive innocence The horrors of lonliness Are a bit too much to take But don't push me too far Make a stone of my heart For if it stops beating, but once It won't beat again And a stone does not need a friend © 2011 EnigmaAuthor's Note
