The Memory of a Presence

The Memory of a Presence

A Poem by Enigma
"

For a special someone.

"

The memory of a presence

Refuses to let go of my mind

The scent of your love

Lingers and intoxicates

The tingle of your touch

Sends the same shivers down my spine

Cuddled in a world of your outstretched arms

These dreams pull me far, so far away

 The memory of your presence

Feeds on my impulses

Ignites the fire of passion

And rouses the storms

Of anxious paranoia

And then, like a gust of cool breeze

In a sweltering summer heat

Your voice travels

Straight to my heart

Once again, I am at peace

Waiting till the rushing memories of our past

Get hold of me again

Enigma
I'm not sure if the picture fits well with the thought, but as soon as I laid my eyes on it, I liked it instantly and just HAD to use it here.

I hope you liked it. I did not think too much on the structure or the word-play this time, just penned it all down as it popped in my head.

I wonder if you felt the same "longing" as the body language of the cat seems to portray? I remember a few words inside that arose upon becoming aware of a tag line...

Where does reality fit
in the schema of today
when even my yesterday's ambitions
have faded into tastes of you?

For starters the picture is darling and as I read I was expecting to red something about the cute little feline. You have a bag full of surprises. This one has a place in my heart.

The picture might not have fused to well, but these words sure did.
Flowed perfectly....The last 12 lines were killer!
