The Memory of a PresenceA Poem by EnigmaFor a special someone.
The memory of a presence Refuses to let go of my mind The scent of your love Lingers and intoxicates The tingle of your touch Sends the same shivers down my spine Cuddled in a world of your outstretched arms These dreams pull me far, so far away The memory of your presence Feeds on my impulses Ignites the fire of passion And rouses the storms Of anxious paranoia And then, like a gust of cool breeze In a sweltering summer heat Your voice travels Straight to my heart Once again, I am at peace Waiting till the rushing memories of our past Get hold of me again © 2011 EnigmaAuthor's Note
