My Enamored TreasureA Poem by EnigmaFor the group 'Creative Poetry'.
Palaces on clouds And hidden trenches Immersed in the glittering abyss Of passion and acceptance We have made our own refuge To hide away from the contortions and frowns Staining the face of reality I do not need my eyes For the despair that grew inside me Now reduced to a speck Which you blow away Kiss off my self Brush it with your lingering touch The nimbus shines through my closed lids And I see no wrong in idolizing you As desires erupt We pluck off the petals From each other Feigning competence Hiding our rosy blushes Where the coloured droplets of fantasy Mingle with the transparent reality Transforming it into desired dreams of past As the inhibitions melt away With our knowing smiles Spiraling out of control Breaking the bounds of ecstasy You have been and will always be My enamored treasure © 2011 EnigmaAuthor's Note
