Flower that never bloomedA Poem by EnigmaExperimental
For a flower that never bloomed Matters not, the sun or moon Or the storm, or the calm Or the frozen and warm Not the wet, nor the dry Nor all the truths and lies With its brilliance encompassed Withered and died, alas For the want of lusty red Or a yellow crowned head Hanging bells, of colour blue Longed for bright rainbow hues Dared not to face the skies Insecure, In disguise Of all that it was not All joys, it soon forgot Withered and died, as I said Never bloomed, blue or red When dead petals, wind did lift Scattered in irregular shifts The corpse of a flower, dry Dry As sand, it floated by I marveled at this wondrous sight Stared long at the serene white © 2011 EnigmaAuthor's Note
