Flower that never bloomed

Flower that never bloomed

For a flower that never bloomed

Matters not, the sun or moon

Or the storm, or the calm

Or the frozen and warm

Not the wet, nor the dry

Nor all the truths and lies

With its brilliance encompassed

Withered and died, alas

For the want of lusty red

Or a yellow crowned head

Hanging bells, of colour blue

Longed for bright rainbow hues

Dared not to face the skies

Insecure, In disguise

Of all that it was not

All joys, it soon forgot

Withered and died, as I said

Never bloomed, blue or red

When dead petals, wind did lift

Scattered in irregular shifts

The corpse of a flower, dry

Dry As sand, it floated by

I marveled at this wondrous sight

Stared long at the serene white

A thought just hit me. Why try to be red or blue, when white is the real you? :D Stray thoughts, basically.

This is prolly my favorite piece by you . It's chilling and scary and yet it is a soft as a rose caressing your skin. It warms your souls and invites you in. It remembers a time when blue and red felt magical when you just wanted to be white. It just feels right...! Gorgeous how colors can paint the sky!

Almost makes me pity the pretty flower that never had the chance to bloom. Nice imagery and flow, wonderfully penned. Great write.

Also, this was another well-penned poem too.

At times I feel just like that flower and in a way it does represent life as a whole. We all sooner or later succumb to decay.

I love flowers. And flowers in poetry are poetic in and of themselves. I liked the short phrases and rhyming. The images paint of a black and white canvas, but your words color them beautiful, with a slightly reflective tone. Nicely written.
