All over again

All over again

See her blush when he looks her in the eye

As he holds her hand, watch her smile

See, how she loves him through and through

How he haunts her thoughts and dreams too

Know how she fears if she had to let him go

Feels her life would end instantly so

For he had the power to leave her undone

Yet she somehow knew that he is the one

Fantasizes his embrace on a cold winter night

She trusts him to make everything alright

Her presence makes him feel so complete

Ever present support when he is in need

Walks her around like a prize he deserves

Makes her feel like the queen of the world

With flirtatious looks and mischievous eyes

His kisses take her by surprise

In the parking lot or busy street

There is nowhere else he would rather be

Now, years down the lane of time

The bright rings on their fingers shine

Busy office hours and household chores

They feel in love but oh so bored

She takes him out to meet her friends

Feeds greedily on the compliments

Pride swells up her aged heart

Her man, so charming and gallant and smart

Feels lost and found by her lover’s eyes

He stands there shining in bright new light

Infatuated, in love all over again

Reclaims her prize of love, her man

He got to know her in depth

Her past, her dreams, fears and facts

How she screams at a bug in sight

How close she holds him every night

How she loves the colour green

Apologizes with tears for every time she is mean

Dares a glimpse of the loss of his heart

Feared how he will be torn apart

For she had the power to destroy him so

And yet he trusts her heart of gold

Feels the warmth of love all over again

And this is how the story ends

A amazing poem. My Grandparent were marry 65 years. His eyes were filled with love for my dear Grandmother to his last days. Thank you for a poem of true love. Keeping love alive is a hard task. Take two wise people accepting strength and weaknesses. Thank you for the outstanding poem.

struggle or not the message was conveyed so clearly. The power of real and true, lasting love. Something I dare say we all seem to long for, and few get to find. This was a beautiful expression of love that endures and friendship that never fades between two souls.
