Twisted Tale of Love

Can anything be more sensual and inviting

Than your arms, forever open

And a body, with its unexpected fluctuations of warmth and cold

A wide-spread existence

Inviting me to share all of me

My thoughts and fears

Horrors, Nightmares, Joys and dreams

Some I share

Some I create

Always in the centre of my picture

Sucking out the shackles of exhaustion from me

Reviving the strength that has waned

Naked or clothed

Makes no difference

For I always have

And always be

In a mutual unconditional, surrendering bond of love

With my bed

Author's Note

Now the worst outcome of this poem would be "I saw that coming." Honestly, was there even a tiny bit of surprise in this work? :S
