A Crime CommittedA Poem by Enigma
It felt like nothing has ever felt like before So much power, such strength To grasp in my firm hands the mere existence Of others, quite like me and yet Weaklings Faint-hearted Cowards Such is their image in my mind As I walk this road With loneliness and desolation side by side They say that when you’re on the top You’re alone to savor the moment To celebrate the victory And yet, what I did Is not something to celebrate! Rather, contemplate Think over it, again and again and again Introspect Why I did this? Was it for the good of me or the one I did it to? If only destruction was my aim… How CAN it be by aim? Is redemption possible? A crime is forever inscribed on my consciousness I did it for some good It was supposed to benefit someone Anyone Not me Not you Yet, all it bred was ravaging havoc For me For you And possibly for everyone else My soul is doomed Is this how every crime is committed? © 2011 EnigmaAuthor's Note
