Ever since I turned a blind eyeA Poem by EnigmaI feel so hollow So stone-like and cold Ever since a turned a blind eye
To those who seek my help To those who need my support To those who feel broken And badly need me to hold
To those who feel incomplete Without me paying any heed I turned into a stone Ever since I turned a blind eye
To those few tender hearts To the many blissful smiles To the harrowing woes My guilt stretched on for miles
For I lost the care Once nurtured in my heart For the one who created me I turned into a stone Ever since I turned a blind eye
Now I stand here, aloof Waiting, for nobody For nothing Waiting it seems For the waiting to end In the crowd Of my once-upon-a-time friends I turned into a stone, thrown away Ever since I turned a blind eye © 2011 EnigmaAuthor's Note
