SmilesA Poem by EnigmaI look into the mirror And I see a stranger In front of my eyes Built up of lies A strange face Not a trace of grace Not a bubbly smile Just a lost child Messed up hair Like all the feelings I share Face so tired So uninspired Shoulders hunched Like I got punched Pathetic looks Like an old book Yet, I dare Into myself, I stare Not bad, I say Not at all today A bit of brushing And I start flushing And a long smile Spreads over a mile I resume the make-over It's like a 'happiness decoder' Bringing out the hidden joy Maybe for that special boy But above all it's for me It's for all of you to see I'm a loser without my smile Smiles are definitely worthwhile Even as you read this rhyme You smile and say that it's quite fine Or maybe think it's pathetic and lame It made you smile all the same Hoping you feel better now Coz' I did too... *bows* Smiles without a reason or two It's the best stress-buster, dude!
