Let me be thankful...

Thanks, everyone!!

Let me be thankful for a change

And not curse this life

It's the only on I got

A time too long to hate somebody

A time too short to love anybody

Yet, I'm trying...

 

Let me be thankful for all the amazing friends I've got

The one's I meet everyday

And the ones I might never meet

In my whole life

Yet, all of them remain in my heart

Till my last breath

 

Let me be thankful for the wonderful family I've got

They're not the best

Nor are they anywhere near perfect

Yet, they're family

Standing together at times of need

Sharing joys and sorrows and problems and jokes

Sharing their lives with each other

With them, I might feel left out

But never feel alone...

 

Let me be thankful for all the stuff that I have

This computer, for instance

It revealed my true identity

As a writer, a poet, a chatter box, an emo

Everything that used to live inside me

Is out on the screen

In freon of you, to see

Maybe, you can find a piece of your life

Inside of me...

 

Let me be thankful for being able to write this

For my health is very good currently

But my will to thank everyone

Drives my hand

As I'm typing out here

All my thanks to everyone around the world

 

Let me be thankful...

Let me be at peace...

Oh Siya... another amazing poem... how do you do it? You know really, you don't need to thank us one bit! We need to thank you for making us realize things we might never of seen had you not been there. And that might sound dramatic, but it's completely true. I don't know how many things you've made me realize that I wouldn't have, not matter the situation, or even if you were trying to make me realize! Thanks once again for being there always for me... it's wonderful to know someone cares. Keep writing, and don't be depressed!

Siya, this was an amazing poem!
Everyone has their moments of being in a funk, wishing that they were dead, or wishing that others were dead. Wishing to be alone, wishing to not have anyone close, etc. What you wrote expressed your deepest emotions, and how you really feel. You don't want to be alone, you wan't someone there with you at all times, no matter who they are. (That makes two of us! lol) You showed the readers here at WC that you (as a person) always have something to be thankful for, and rarely something to regret. We all can learn something from you. :D

This was an awesome poem that teaches a message that everyone should know about, no matter how old they are: Be thankful for what you have, instead of yearning for what you dont have.

Dear Siya,
This is a wake up call for all those whining about what is going wrong in their lives instead of taking a look at what they do have to be thankful for.
