I know...

I know...

A Poem by Enigma
"

Dedicated to one of my friends who recently faced a huge loss in his life... I hope you feel alright, dear friend!!

"

I know, you don't know

That I know what you're going through

You think I don't see those tears

You so skillfully hide behind your fake smile

I know, you don't know

How it saddens me to think

That I just can't help you get through this mess

Because I'm sitting here

And you're crying there, all alone

I know, you don't know

That I want to console you

To hear out your sorrow and pain

To hug you so tightly that you'd feel alright

To tell you that you couldn't do anything about it

I know you don't know

That I can't come over to you on my own

It's you who have to open up to me

Rest all would fall into place

I'll make it happen for you...

I know you don't know

How special and precious you are

And to see you cry is to watch myself drown

Into the never-ending depths of suffering

I know that you're thinking

If all I've just said, is true

How can a human feel so strongly about its mate

You wonder if they hold any meaning, these words

I wonder, if you'll ever know

How I loved you..

How I longed to be there for you...

How I tried, in vain, to console you...

I wonder...

I wonder at it all...

My friend just lost his beloved aunt. And I cannot console him, though he says that I've helped him get through this mess... Oh! Gosh!!...
I hope he starts feeling better soon...

This poem flowed very nicely, Siya!! The repetition gave it a different mood. "I know, you dont know" made the poem more joyful then what you intended, i bet lol. It's about a girl trying to comfort a friend whom has lost someone near and dear.
I've had to go through something similar; cheering up a friend who's lost someone near to their heart. It all takes time, Siya.

Beautiful job, by the way! :D

I know that I have read this poem over and over again before reviewing...
I particularly like it because of the way you use the same sentence nearly each stanza, it gives your work even more power and it makes your message stand out like it should be, working towards a climax at the end.

Awesome poem, Siya! I'm crying for your friend, just through this poem. It's amazing how you can capture someone's heart through poetry... that's why it's so great and romantic, you know? It's just... unexplainable. Wonderful, Siya. A billion rounds of 'clause.

Cool poem, and very emotional. I hope he gets better soon.
Everyone must die in the end, either they want to or not. Mourning for the loss has no point in it I guess, and I'm not being insensitive. The poorest people after a death are the ones who are left behind, not the ones who'd died.
