Do it for me
A Poem by Enigma
About my parents...*sigh*
"No Dad! She didn't mean to do so."
"No Mom! That's not what he meant to do."
"No. You're getting it all wrong."
"No. It's not what you think it is."
So hard..
So hard I try...
Yet, no avail...
They continue to fight
Try as I might
I see the chances are frail
Don't hug..
That's ok!
Don't kiss..
That's ok!
Don't love..
That's ok..
But don't hate..
It hurts me!
But don't fight..
It breaks me!
Don't be ignorant..
It kills me!
Do it for me...
You only daughter
Who's losing faith in everything
Because of you two...

My parents fight a lot. I know that they have their differences but the way they resolve them...argh! I hate them for that. They don't care about anything else, it seems...
Not even me...

Siya,
It's so hard being young, I remember... well, barely.. lol. But, then when we get older, we want to be young again, because the emotional aspect shifts to higher levels. In situations beyond your control, you need to step back, breathe, and realize that it isn't your fault, stop taking it on your shoulders to fix it because only they can do that. Look deep within Siya, find the beauty of life.. love... in your heart... and let that lead you to where you want and need to be. I'm sorry that your parents fight. I remember it well and know how difficult it is, but you can't let it destroy you. I guess I'm telling you at this point, to put on your hard hat, roll with the punches and take charge of your life. YOU take the driver's seat. I know that seems harsh but it's reality. You can handle it. You really have to, whether it seems fair or not. Otherwise, you'll find yourself trapped and controlled by these emotions that are keeping you down.
Keep writing.. Siya. I believe it's therapeutic for you, and you're good at it.
