i see the warm sunshine on your lips

and the colour in your closed eyes

as the day unfolds into uncertainty

 

i see the colours of your dreams

and the silent canvas right before

the first word breaks free

 

i see the abyss stretching underneath

each breath, a sanctuary

for the rebellious hope to survive

 

i see you

i see you in me

A deliberate focus on hope and good things to come. I feel I've wandered the alleys of sadness and written on its walls for far too long.
