Yesterday,today,tomorrow

Different faces of mine.I change everyday...

Yesterday…

I was a girl who won’t get up on time

She’d be less than interested in doing her chores

Silently talking to herself

And living in her own dreams

She didn’t give much thought to the world around her

 

Today…

I’m a girl who spends an hour in front of the mirror

Trying to set my hair; put on some make-up

Trying to camouflage the things that set me apart

Trying to mingle in the crowd

Other’s opinion is what matters the most

 

Tomorrow…

I’ll be the girl who can’t accept her short-comings

I’ll be the one who failed

I’ll be the girl who dreamt of so much, but got so little

I’ll be the girl who let everyone down

Or maybe

I’ll be the one who won

I’ll be the one whose dreams came true

I’ll be the one to bring about a change

The possibilities  are numerous…

i like it. it's simple. easily understood. but deep.

"I'll be the one who failed/ I'll be the girl who dreamt of so much, but got so little/I'll be the girl who let everyone down," reminds me of the TV Show Gossip Girl. I like the way the poem talks about possibilities at the same time embodying emotions like failure and victory... and attitudes like vanity and etc. very nice.

What do I think? I think that was just about the most honest work of writing i've ever seen! You embraced the past present and future with an open, rational mind and depicted the way it is.
