MomA Poem by EnigmaThis is, I guess, what every teenager wants to say to her/his mom. After all, she's the BEST!!You know that I love you Don't you, mom? I will always care for you For many days to come
You know that I respect you You know that I care But why can't you understand The feeling behind my stares
I'm growing up, you know it I need a space of my own I need to prove that I'm somebody I need to create my home
I easily get angry As I'm not fully mature I say words I never meant to say They hurt you, rather than cure
You misunderstand me, time and again As I try to tell you why Suddenly I feel so alone in this world Will you still hold me when I cry?
I just want you to know That I need some space There are many obstacles For me, alone, to face
So rather than treating me as a child Or making me a full adult For the time being, just let me be I'll take care of my troubles
And I'll be assured that When my life's a sad song There'll be someone I can count on To hold me up and make me strong None but you... MY DEAREST MOM!!! © 2008 EnigmaAuthor's Note
