Love's boundsA Poem by KundaTales from seas to skies
A fish and a bird, may fall in love;
Where will they build a home, below or above? "Come with me to the pool of lovers, Then to the sea's vast deep floor" Says the fish to the bird; "Come with me and let our love grow. Swim with me through ticklish seaweed Here there's plenty to eat. Take my fin; take me under your wing, And swim to the prosody of my heartbeat. As we open our mouths to draw in water, So shall we open our hearts to let in love. From the water we'll breathe there our air; But from the love get more than enough." "No love.." "Fly with me to the roof of the sky, There we'll flock; feather and scale. Fly with me into it's vast openness, Where we can store our love as well. Out here, we'll glide and soar and stay afloat, Hover, sail, drift and cruise, Outstretched fins and wings; eyes shut! Love won't mind; its ours to use. In the care-free air, We can love care-freely. As for food, leave that to me; There is plenty of fish in the sea" © 2017 Kunda |
