The end

The end

A Poem by Siv

The end
Never leave me standing there
So alone, so unaware.
You lied when you said you understand
You took my hand
Then you let go.

Faces that have so many names
They come and go
It’s all the same.
Waiting, watching, wondering why
And still alone
I wait to die.

We turned our backs against the sun
Lost track of time
And no one won.
Where are we now
My bitter friend
Close the book
And read “The End.”
