My unborn loveA Poem by FloatingMoth
I loved you without a heartbeat,
held you without arms, I cherished your laugh when i didnt not hear it. I loved your face though i never saw it. Yet too young, unwed, unloved and damaged, I couldnt be so selfish. To take your life was to save my own, So i guess i was selfish just the same. youll never feel your mother's kiss, Or gentle breathes against your cheek. Ill never hold your tiny hands, or your small unforgotten feet. You felt my love though you were still, nothing more than "just cells" They told me this as i laid back. I didn't want this, i loved you. Daddy wouldn't have approved.. Ill regret my choice to the neverlands end and in my heart ill be forever true. You know my love, for you though you passed before you lived. You knew how strong my heart was for you, After all, you were the only one, To feel it beat beside you.
