My unborn love

My unborn love

A Poem by FloatingMoth

I loved you without a heartbeat,
held you without arms,
I cherished your laugh when i didnt not hear it.
I loved your face though i never saw it.
Yet too young, unwed, unloved and damaged,
I couldnt be so selfish.
To take your life was to save my own,
So i guess i was selfish just the same.
youll never feel your mother's kiss,
Or gentle breathes against your cheek.
Ill never hold your tiny hands,
or your small unforgotten feet.
You felt my love though you were still,
nothing more than "just cells"
They told me this as i laid back.
I didn't want this, i loved you.
Daddy wouldn't have approved..
Ill regret my choice to the neverlands end
and in my heart ill be forever true.
You know my love, for you though you passed before you lived.
You knew how strong my heart was for you,
After all, you were the only one,
To feel it beat beside you.

Heartbreaking, understandable, your choice to have an abortion, even though you still get some folk saying what the hell do you think you're doing? But they don't walk in your shoes, so why should they have the right to tell you what to do. Just because that happened to like your poem said to elegantly you love the little soul even thou, the reasons outweighed the reality of his outcome on earth. This is never an easy topic or even to do. I admire your honesty and openness. Knowing this little soul was loved by you.

This choice is never an easy one to make. I felt your heart break here and others should not judge you for the decision you took. No one knows your circumstances. I sincerely hope you find some healing, but I doubt if you will ever forget. An honest write. You need a hug. Thank you fir posting.

A young woman lost her baby last month. The same day, she asked me to take her son (A five year old) to bus-stop and back for a week. She lost her child. I just hugged her. She asked me. What do I do now? Will my heart not be broken? I told her. Somethings we cannot forget, we must learn to accept. Become a part of us. Your words honest and true. Make me reflex on many things. Thank you for sharing the powerful words and your thoughts.

This, to me, is heartbreaking. With the exception of rape, I often find it hard to believe there are women who fight for the right to have an abortion.
