Vestigial

Vestigial

A Poem by Sergei
"

Losing one's mind.

"
does the sun shine when mine eyes are closed
the warmth is there
a lover's caress
                          or tyrant's whip
the dear old sun
sails away on ra's great ship

do the birds sing when my ears are hurt
sight dictates what must be heard
silence everywhere
how absurd

vestigial is my mind
                                    an  e c h o
an answer to a question I can no longer find
