"Superman Tragedy"

"Superman Tragedy"

A Poem by Sir_Anonymous
"

This is one of my originals... I wrote this and quite a few more when I was heavily influenced by a girl in fact I call her my muse sometimes

"
Why can't I be your Superman always there in the nick of time ready to fight for you at the drop of a dime.

Just brimming with self worth knowing I will always have you by my side If in the process I were to ever lose my mind.

Why can't I be your Superman if I had to I would gladly die all just to protect you , save you from a train , catch a speeding bullet meant for you with my body and soul.

For even should I get old due to the stress of saving you from distress all I ever ask is that you repay me with a smile and kiss to lift my spirits when I feel down or catch me frown.

Cause I will always be there for you when you need me but the real question is will you be there for me?

.... Damn why can't I be your Superman?

What do you think considering this is quite literally my third poem I had wrote when I started nearly three years past?

I like this. Every girl would like to have her own personal Super Hero.
Ok, maybe not every girl. I'm sure there are those that will scream NO if they read that.
But whether we require protection or not is irrelevant. It is nice to know someone is willing to step for us and protect us or fight with us. Anyhow, this was very sweet. Really liked it. If you are a teenage boy then you should start showcasing your talents. Young girls will eat this stuff up. I clicked on a few of yours and the only real critique I have is that I don't like the paragraph form. In reading through, out loud, it flows well but it is hard on the eyes. But that is just a preference. For a baby poem, I'd say this was very good.
