Destiny

Destiny

A Poem by Donald Wilson

Did you find it
Can you see
Did you look in the mirror of destiny
Can you see the waves of eternity
Stop now
Don't look
You well see and piece together
What it is in me
Is what is inside you
And that emotional wave of destiny
Can you surf
Can you swim
Its not what you think it can be
Its much worse
For it has sucked us in for all eternity
Get out stop looking
Pierce by piece
You will see your path of destiny
You will look for reasons
For there is none
I was looking for the longest time
I saw you out there bobbing up and down
I came out buy your side
I tried to mend the damage
It's what I do
But I know I can only try
Your heart was broken and your mind a mess
I could only try
I confess
I tried with all my might
But it was too late
For the gate had slammed shut
I sit on the beach now wondering what went wrong
My head in my hands weeping adding sorry to my feet
Soaking into the sands for all to weep
Derived from every outcome
What's left
Is you
In me
And me in you
For all to see
