To the Never ForgottenA Poem by Sir PsychosisWe seldom take the chance to say thank you to everyone we should say thank you to, and others we will never have the chance to say it face to face... So...
I don't know you,
But I thank you. For what you have done for myself, my children and theirs after I'm gone. I thank you for the sacrifices that you made from the cold, to the starving and yet still to the battle weary... and especially to those of you that laid down your lives so that I could live mine under a free sky. The forever red tinted sands and mud that your very essence has sowed, has ensured that my generation will never have to experience a tint of red on that scale. That our blood can run into our families, our future and not our very survival. You have given us so much and our thanks though inadequate is all we are able to return for so much given, we have so little to exchange and though you've never asked for it, please accept it with our gratitude and love and respect. You the unnamed, to the majority of us, are still in our thoughts and hearts. All I can say is Thank you and I say it with all my heart and soul. © 2020 Sir PsychosisAuthor's Note
