Aisle

Aisle

A Poem by SirMangosven
"

Thought about this while sitting in church

"
As I walked down the aisle
I could only smile
I started to grin
And then it begins
Peoples thoughts and visions roaring in my ear
You could see on their face
It's like I've never been here
I wanted to hurry
And get to my seat
When I got there I sat
Their thoughts became nothing
We then rose and sang
But then I noticed
Walking down the aisle
Another, and she started to smile
She started to grin
I looked at her
And it faded away
And then I knew
It's where I'd just been.

i really like this poem. i remember when i was little i would hate to be late to school so bad because people would always give me this stare that made me uncomfortable which is why if i was going to be late i wouldn't go but i grew out of that. also i like how this subject of the poem makes it so everybody can relate because who hasn't gotten uncomfortable by a bunch of people staring at them.

Isn't it great that we do not always know what goes on inside other people's heads?
i like the idea of the isle, and the slow movement.

Wow thanks a lot!
I liked this, sometimes a glance between strangers helps to find a common ground, it can be reassuring.

Very well demonstrated!
I have had the same experience regarding church and could not describe the same feeling better :)
