Cheshire Grin

Cheshire Grin

A Poem by Merle Van Dee

Cheshire grin in the West,
Red and White planetary eyes
Watching over me.
Luminescent moths
Strung together on poles
Lighting my way to Nowhere.
You spinning in my mind
As fast as the wheels beneath my feet.
Left me breathless,
Gasping for air
As me and my visions
Begin to blur.
