Lost Brother

Lost Brother

A Poem by Sir Joseph
"

The first of many

"

You trusted me with everything;

You trusted me with your all.

You made me a fortitude,

A place without the walls.

You helped me with my troubles;

You helped me to stop the show.

You gave me a place to stay,

When I had nowhere to go.

We began to grow closer;

You started calling me your brother.

My family adopted you in,

You called my mom your mother.

Then I broke the trust;

I broke it with my sin.

I shattered everything,

With the things I had hidden.

You've heard enough I know;

So I shall stop talking.

Meaningless words will cease,

As I start by walking.

My heart is heavy;

I can write no more.

My prayer I pray,

Our friendship be restored.

Excellent work with the measures in the syllables. Your rhyming and vocabulary fit perfectly together.

You are quite welcome.
I think most anybody who is a true friend will forgive when asked. Hopefully, that will happen, and you two will be great friends again.

Thank you very much!
Understanding how to react in situations like this is so damn difficult, especially when we need to write to even begin to make sense of it in our heads. So many angles, so many words and situations we play over, and never actually act out.. Only you can change your future, and if the one you want is with him in it, then go out there and do your very best to make sure he is in it! I know it isn't always as easy as that, but trust yourself, and trust how well you know him in regards to how to go about it. I'm sure it will resolve itself. I hope so anyway. Lovely, emotional piece

Thank you
Maybe you should show this to him? I don't know him that well but from what you tell me he would take you back with open arms... I know you hurt him deeply with this, but he is still your friend, try talking with him, make a small step and see where it goes:)

Oh gosh! This poem made me cry... I am one of those people who hate seeing people hurt for any reason especially when I could have prevented it(Or if I caused it) so losing friends really hurts me. You did a wonderful job getting your point and emotions across. A poem that can make a reader cry is an amazing one! Great job and I will be praying for you and for your friend because everyone deserves a second chance! :)

Aww :) Thanks!
Broken trust is very difficult to repair, I doubt in all honesty, the relationship could ever be the same...perhaps some semblance of it is possible. Good read, and telling. Hope you can mend this one.
