"Tear my heart out, Please"

"Tear my heart out, Please"

A Poem by Douglas Bujak

here i sit, music blaring so i cant hear myself think
just so much running in and out of my head
i have a fear, and it works into my skin
settles in my heart and makes it hard to eat
I cry, i dont know why...
just the image, you driving his car
I'm not stupid i know the reason why...
that late night party, getting away to see him
F**k these images?
if they are real oh well...
I've been hurt before, it would just add to it
Stab me, tear out my heart and throw it on the floor,
Cause if you dont i will, i will tear it out, still beating with passion
And lay it at your feet, giving you the choice to
Do what you must, I'll wait a life time
I only get one try and
I'm using my last lifeline with you
If you leave, I might die
but i'll give it a try

A powerful poem. Love can put us down and we can be waiting till the will to love come back. Description and story was very strong in your words. Ending left reader with some hope.
