Spring In Kentucky

Spring In Kentucky

A Poem by Brian
"

Spring in Kentucky.

Spring In Kentucky
The sun is shining, the trees nice and green,
The clouds high in the sky, white as flour.
The sky as blue as the high seas.
It’s spring in Kentucky. The grass long and green,
The birds chirping, the dogs barking, the kids running,
The adults talking, the cats meowing.
The lawn mowers roaring, the grills cooking.
There is nothing like spring in Kentucky.

You make me want to move to KY. Sounds simple and beautiful ! I love the way the fog lingers in the valley of the hills when I drove thru TN and KY. So beautiful even if the tree covered hills remind me of broccoli.

Wish I were there.

I like this. Very simplistic word usage, silly metaphors almost, but it has a sort of Hank Williams feel to it.
