I, Fraud

I, Fraud

A Poem by Siobhan Welch
"

The genuine me is fake.

"

I said I was a musician once, but only the "ONCE" part was true.

I said I loved animals, but it didn't mean I knew how to raise them.

I said I was strong, and that was just an outright lie.

I said to myself that I wanted to be loved, for real, and true.

I said to myself that I would know those things when I saw them.

I said to myself that love was mine, but that was mere illusion.

I said to my family, please see the real nothing of me.

I said to my friends, please know that I will desert you in the end.

I said to the world, please realize I am a fraud in all ways.

I said to my God, I'm sorry for failing you so.

We all play many parts in a life. My Grandfather told me. "Better to be a man who know many things. Then be a man who know only one thing." Life will twist us up many times. I had changed my life 4 times completely. I didn't like the road I was on. Hard to see the positive in a life. Sometime we must leave the pain behind and reach for something new. A excellent poem. You open the doors to many questions that can be answer by living and hopefully good luck. A excellent poem.
