Hidden/Found

Hidden/Found

A Poem by Siobhan Welch
"

I will pretend to be a warrior, and in the pretending, I just might become one.

"

In this world of stark, bright, glaring, massive, garrulous.

Hidden underneath those things, in silence,

there is something else.

One has to push past their perceived level of endurance

and probably feel a lot of hurt,

to maybe find it, once.

In this world of darkness, morbidity, cold, black, death,

Hidden underneath those things, in silence,

there is something else.

To escape its grasp requires faith, tranquility, calm, balance

and probably a lot of hurt

to maybe find it, once.

I will use the potions available to me, strange, untested, ancient.

To reveal what is hidden underneath, in silence

To find it, and make it my home.
