CVA Story by Siobhan WelchNot a curriculum vitae, unless you're nuts.C: Hey, do you ever think that something might be wrong with your brain?
V: Everyone feels that way, at least some. Why do you ask?
C: Because sometimes I feel like something is wrong with my brain. Not intellectually, but socially, and with emotions and feelings.
V: Yeah, I get that.
C: How can we learn it?
V: You can't - it's something you have to learn as a child.
C: No! There has to be some way, if we missed out on learning it as a child! Who would know how to teach us?
V: No one, man! It's something you get as a child and you can't get it later on.
C: Why?
V: Because the people who got it when they were young don't even know what you're talking about.
C: Like, they got it, but they don't know how?
V: Exactly!
C: So there must be some form of psychology that can teach us those things.
V: Maybe. I've never heard of it, though.
C: Doesn't the loss of those things bother you?
V: I really don't think about it much, you know.
I can't help you because I don't have those things, either. You should talk to someone who has them.
C: But no one who has those things even knows what I'm talking about!
V: That's what I just said!
C: Then how do we fix ourselves?
V: I don't know, but I feel cheated.
C: And I would be the one who cheated you, right?
V: Yeah. © 2011 Siobhan WelchFeatured Review
