Paper versus me

Paper versus me

A Poem by Siobhan Welch
"

Yep - the paper wins every time.

"

I’m so much better

on a flat piece of paper

than I could ever be

in real life.

That super-heated vapor trail

oozing from the monitor

gives off a lot more

warmth

than my flesh.

And there are others

exactly the same.

Just because they don’t say it,

doesn’t mean a f*****g thing.

But I’m not too bright, either.

The difference being

that I confess.

I admit.

I beg your pardon.
