Culmination

Culmination

A Poem by Siobhan Welch
"

The best laid plans - well, I never had any of those.

"

Everything that can go wrong
with a life,
everything that has gone wrong
with this life,
has culminated into this
Exact Moment.

I had thoughts to
sort it all out
thirty years ago,
and twenty,
and ten,
and last November.

But the task was daunting,
even from the start.
Now, with it
starring down the
back of me -
I can't even see its face.
