I wish you well

I wish you well

A Poem by Siobhan Welch
"

The dregs of society come together, use each other up, then move on.

"

I seen you walkin
in the rain,
draggin on a f*g
in the grey drizzle
that greets each and every
Fresno day.

My heart
hurt me bad
to see such a sight,
and guilt overtook me
till I had to
drink myself sober.

I gave all I had.
No, it wadn't much.
It would never involve
a widescreen TV
and would always include
that pee-soaked hallway.

I coulda stood by
and let them bills rack up,
and let a lot of bad blood
soak through the layers
tween me and my kin,
and continued to play the fool.

Oh yeah, I'm a fool all right.
No one could ever debate that,
sure as s**t not me.
I'm a fool who's heart's a bleedin'.

I wish you well.
Lay off the cons.
